A lot of factors go into this answer such as the size of your family, number of pets and how you manage your routine cleaning. Our technician can recommend a seasonal maintenance plan within your budget that helps you battle deep-down dirt and keep your home sanitized and looking fabulous!
Simply stated, you get what you pay for. When comparing service companies, ask a lot of questions - such as what process and cleaners they use - or you may end up with a result worse than when you started. Our price includes cleaning with our proprietary hot water extraction machine and extra care measures, such as treating for spots, manually scrubbing problem areas, moving furniture as well as a 10-day satisfaction policy. There are no hidden fees or additional charges at the end of the job.
A n area is typically a room up to 3000 square feet (15x20) Combined rooms such as living/dining are considered two areas. Any area over 300 square feet, but less than 600 square feet is priced as two areas. Non-standard areas (baths, halls, landings, walk-in-closets, etc.) are priced separately at a lesser price. Your technician will ask the appropriate questions upfront to determine the best quote for you.
There is no charge to move furniture and we are professionally trained to do so. We will not move heavy or fragile items such as pianos, electronics, china cabinets, beds, dressers with mirrors, pool tables etc. We do suggest that you remove any fragile or personal items OFF OF the furniture, such as electronics, plants, statues, vases or knick-knacks.
A light vacuuming in the traffic areas is recommended but not required as our equipment is vacuuming the entire time we are cleaning.
To remove the toughest, deepest dirt safely and gently, we use hot water extraction, commonly referred to as steam cleaning. Hot water and a specially formulated cleaning solution are injected deep within the carpet fibres and a powerful suction extracts deep-down dirt and allergens along with cleaning solution and 95% of the moisture.
We cannot guarantee removal of all spots or stains from substances that permanently discolour the carpet fibres. The age and type of carpet also plays a factor in stain removal. Our technician will try to determine if this is the case prior to cleaning and let you know in advance.
It will take approximately 20-30 minutes per average-size room. This time can vary greatly depending on the amount of furniture to be moved, how soiled the carpet is and any necessary spot removal treatments. Our technician will discuss this with you before the job begins.
Dry time is affected by humidity, temperature and air flow to the area. It can take anywhere between 8-24 hours for the carpet to completely dry, depending on the climate. Using fans, turning your air conditioner or heating system on (depending on the time of the year) can help accelerate drying time. You may walk on your carpet immediately after cleaning, but avoid wearing street shoes that might re-soil your carpet and be careful not to slip when transferring from a wet area to a dry floor.
If previous carpet cleaners used a cleaning process whereby the soap was not rinsed out completely, the resulting residue left in your carpet may attract dirt. Our specially formulated solution and Hot Water Extraction cleaning process leaves little or no residue behind.
As the carpet dries, these bubbles or ripples should start to lay flat again. Once it is dry they should be virtually unnoticeable. This is usually a sign that the carpet was in need of re-stretching prior to the carpet cleaning. If these ripples do not go away after it is completely dry, please contact Goldline Building Services at 416 471 8281 as soon as possible.
Carpet cleaning is not a guarantee or proper method to remove fleas or ticks from your home. We recommend you contact a professional exterminator to first treat your carpet, area rugs, upholstery and beds (including your pet's bed) to kill adult fleas and eggs at least a week before calling us to clean.
We can also clean your furniture and mattresses. We use hot water extraction wherever possible, but have been trained to test the fabric to determine the safest and most effective method as some fabrics may require a more delicate cleaning system. Our technicians can help you make a decision that best suits the removal of soil from your furniture.
We can add a specially formulated protector to your carpet and upholstery as a finishing touch and extra layer of protection. These products wrap fibres in a protective coating to help resist future soiling and gives you time to clean up spots and spills before they soak in.
Goldline uses a natural bacterial enzyme action to digest organic odor sources such as vomit, feces, urine, milk, blood, etc. This product removes organic odors that it contacts and uses a neutralizer to give immediate relief from any odors while the enzyme is working. The key to complete removal of an odor is that this product must reach all contaminated surfaces. We cannot guarantee complete removal of an odor that has penetrated a backing or padding. Our technician can discuss this with you.
We use a process called hot water extraction to clean grout, which is often referred to as steam cleaning because of the steam you see as we clean. We scrub each tile and individual grout line with grout-specific cleaners and the high-pressure unit extracts the embedded dirt and grime.
Just like carpet, grout is porous and absorbs soil and spills. We can apply a sealant to create a protective stain-resistant barrier. Like a carpet or upholstery protector, it allows you more time to clean up spills before they soak in. You recommend you wait 30 minutes before walking on the floor and it will take up to 24 hours for the sealant to fully cure. To preserve the life of the sealant, we can recommend a neutral cleaner for you to use as bleach and harsh chemicals can wear it away.
Goldline uses a high-speed rotary brush extraction machine and a neutral cleaning agent to clean your hardwood and remove contaminants. We then go over the floor with a microfibre mop. Edges and stairs are hand-scrubbed and we can coat your floors with our maintenance coat protectant. This step may not be effective on floors that have been previously coated with acrylic wax, oil soap or furniture polish, in which case the floors may have to be stripped or sanded.
